Privacy policy

Draft: not in force yet. To be completed once the company is registered and a lawyer has read it. Text in [square brackets] is still to be decided.

1. Who we are

Crossroads (crossroads.az) is run by [legal name of the company, VÖEN and registered address], which is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions go to info@crossroads.az.

2. What we hold

  • Account details: your name and email address, and for business accounts the company's legal name, VÖEN, billing address and billing email.
  • Payments and invoices: amounts, dates, bank references and the invoices we issue you.
  • Your servers' records: their sizes, hostnames, addresses, terms and a history of what was done to them and by whom.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
  • Technical logs: requests to our API and security logs, which include IP addresses.

We don't look at the contents of your servers, except to keep the service running, when you ask us to help, or when the law requires it.

3. Why

  • To provide the service you asked for and to bill you for it.
  • To keep accounting records, as the law requires.
  • To keep the service and our customers secure.
  • To answer you.

We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for advertising.

4. This website

This website has no advertising or analytics cookies. It is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to serve pages and to stop abuse, and its Turnstile check protects the contact form from bots.

5. Who processes data for us

  • Cloudflare: hosting this website, our domain's DNS and email routing, and the bot check.
  • Resend: sending our emails, such as receipts, reminders and invoices.
  • Our accountant: invoices and payment records, for the accounts we must keep.

Your servers and their data stay on our own hardware in Baku.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account, payment and invoice records: [period required by accounting law].
  • Contact form messages from people who don't become customers: [period].
  • A removed server's final backup: [period], then it is deleted.

7. Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it, except where the law makes us keep it, such as invoices. Write to info@crossroads.az. We handle personal data in line with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Personal Data. [Anything else a lawyer advises.]

8. Changes

We will email customers before changing this policy in a way that affects them.
